Food burned on the stove – passersby rescue Tyroleans from a smoke-filled apartment

Date:

The heroes of the day and night in Tyrol are two inhabitants (23 and 53) from Buch in the Schwaz district! On Thursday, they rescued an 89-year-old from his smoky apartment. The reason for the heavy smoke was burnt food on the stove.

At around 1.30am, the 23-year-old and 53-year-old were walking home after an event in Buch. As they passed the 89-year-old’s house, they heard his screams for help and could smell the burning. “Then they broke open the front door and found the man on the floor in the smoky kitchen,” police said. The two rescuers brought the elderly person outside and alerted the fire brigade.

Suspected smoke inhalation
This approached with two vehicles and 20 Florianis and took care of the ventilation of the apartment. The 89-year-old was taken to Schwaz hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The reason for the heavy smoke was probably burnt food on the stove.
