The Corona curve has risen significantly in Tyrol recently after school started. In consultation with the health authorities, the education department has now responded and made recommendations to the schools.
On Monday, the directors of Tyrol received mail from the education department. Due to the rising corona numbers since the school started, they have teamed up with health authorities to prepare a paper with recommendations aimed at making it easier for schools to deal with the rising curve.
Accordingly, from three positive students, the entire class must be tested within three days, and over a five-day period, from five infected people, masks must be applied – and distance learning if a third of the students are positive.
There were more than 600 infected people in the past week
Since the start of the school, voluntary tests have been taken in many classes, so the development was quickly noticed. Within a week, the number of reported cases rose from 278 to 636.
The first schools had already taken action. Since last week, the tests were compulsory in eleven classes in the country, three classes were in distance learning. Masks were mandatory in one class.
