In a shopping mall in Shanghai, a surveillance camera captured terrifying images of a little girl clinging to the railing of an escalator and being pulled up. The child dangled meters high above the ground. Courageous rescue workers averted disaster.
The girl allowed herself to be carried upstairs from the outside of the escalator. What seemed very funny at first quickly became extremely dangerous. At the end of the escalator, the little girl got stuck behind a glass wall that hung meters above the ground.
While a boy looked on relatively quietly, two adults came to the rescue. The men pulled the girl over the parapet and saved her from falling. The child escaped without serious injuries.
