Fatal accident Saturday morning in Lower Austria: On a rain-drenched road, a 17-year-old driver suddenly lost control of the steering wheel, the vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming car. There was no rescue for the girl.
The 17-year-old was on the B13 from Breitenfurt in the direction of Purkersdorf shortly before 8 a.m. According to the police, she suddenly lost control of the steering wheel during a slight right turn and skidded.
The driver of an oncoming vehicle, a 52-year-old, was unable to avoid a collision. The two vehicles collided head-on. The 17-year-old suffered serious injuries that she died at the scene of the accident. The 52-year-old suffered chest injuries – he was admitted to the LKH Tulln after first aid.
