Not final – Twelve years in prison for alleged child rapist

Date:

A criminal Austrian (28) was not legally sentenced to 12 years in prison in the regional court of Salzburg on Tuesday. The court found it proven that he had repeatedly abused his stepdaughter, who was only six years old.

In three of the four charges, the regional court recognized sexual abuse of minors, in two cases it was considered serious. The native Austrian, a repeat offender with five previous convictions, had pleaded not guilty to the charges at the start of the trial in the Salzburg regional court.

Attacks also during free passages
According to the prosecutor’s office, the 28-year-old brutally abused his then partner’s daughter for his sexual fantasies between 2019 and October 2021. According to the indictment, he sometimes even promised the victim candy. He is also said to have used free passages during his time in prison for the crimes. The defendant took the time to think it over.

Editor’s note: The convicted man is still considered a suspected child molester as the sentence is not yet final.
