Crash with 2.2 per mille – Alcoholic driver had her three children in the car

Date:

Incomprehensible! A heavily drunk woman got behind the wheel in Krenglbach (Upper Austria). Her two sons, just aged ten and six, and her only four-year-old daughter were in the car. Then the inevitable happened.

The 36-year-old from Krenglbach drove her car at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday with her two sons (aged six and ten) and her daughter (4) on the L1233 near Schmiding.

At the Schmiding Evolution Museum, she lost control of the vehicle and crashed head-on into a house wall. An alcohol test resulted in a blood alcohol level of 2.22 and her driver’s license was provisionally withdrawn. And if that wasn’t bad enough, she gave as the reason for the accident that she was using her cell phone.

Both the building and the car were heavily damaged in the accident. Fortunately, the mother and her three children were unharmed.
