A Kosovar driver (36) drove noticeably slowly on the Tauern Autobahn (A10) on Sunday. When the police arrested him, he initially posed as his brother.
The 36-year-old did not have a driver’s license. But he could not mislead the officials with the false data. After a drug saliva test it became clear: the man had consumed narcotics before the trip.
It was not the only drunk driver that the police removed from traffic this weekend: a Styrian driver (35) attracted the attention of the officers on the A1 with his unusual driving style. The drug test was positive and he had to hand in the certificate on the spot. In Neumarkt, a Croatian driver (47) was driving on the road with a blood alcohol content of 1.7 per mille. His driver’s license was also confiscated.

And on Lamprechtshausener Straße, a driver (35) from Flachgau left the road and crashed his car into a tree. He had 1.5 per mille. The rescue effort took the injured 35-year-old to hospital.
