The use of drugs can certainly cloud perception – it is probably due to this condition that a 43-year-old started a police operation in Vienna on Saturday. Because the man tried to gain access to an apartment in the Landstrasse district, which did not belong to him…
The suspect scared the rightful resident around 7:30 p.m. Friday evening. The 28-year-old first noticed that someone was at the door and then opened it. In front of her stood the totally upset man.
Beaten and forced to leave the apartment
According to her information, the suspect stormed into the apartment, even beat her and pushed her out of the premises. Shocked, the young woman fled to a neighbor and called the police.
When officers knocked on the door of the 28-year-old’s apartment, the aggressive suspect, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, opened the door for them with a knife in hand. “The man was arrested, but he resisted vigorously and injured an officer in the genital area,” police spokesman Christopher Verhnjak said on Saturday.
Wrong floor
As it turned out in the course of the investigation, the 43-year-old was apparently lying on the floor incorrectly – because his apartment was one floor above the 28-year-old’s apartment. The police officers would also make an interesting discovery in the suspect’s apartment on the wrong track: They came across an indoor plantation with multiple marijuana plants.
