Forgotten on the train – reading aid turned up by visually impaired girl

Tyrolean police and the father of an 11-year-old girl have raised the alarm after an alleged theft! The visually impaired child had forgotten a special camera on a regional train in the Unterland, which he needs to read at school. But now the reading aid appeared again.

According to the police, the incident had already taken place on September 21. The girl traveled that day on the regional train “REX3” from St. Johann in Tirol in the direction of Salzburg and “forgot her special camera when getting off at Hochfilzen station of the brand MagniLink Student Pro, which the visually impaired girl at school needs to help her read,” said the director.

Occupation of father on Facebook
According to investigators, it was suspected that an unknown perpetrator took the camera, which was in a black laptop bag, on the train. The damage was estimated at more than a thousand euros. The police asked for possible clues or witnesses! The father also started a call via Facebook: “Please hand them in to a lost and found desk of ÖBB or contact us. This device is indispensable for our daughter at school!!” His request was granted: the reader was handed in at the train station of St. Johann in Tirol.
