The fact that a speed limit of 50 actually applies on Gobelsburger Straße in Langenlois (Lower Austria) was recently shown to a Kremser twice. Because while a radar box set up by officials of the national traffic service was taking measurements there in the afternoon hours, the man drove past it twice. And every time it “flashed”.
First, the driver’s car was hit at a speed of 87 km/h. On the way back, almost 30 minutes later, the driver must have been in much more of a hurry: the speedometer read 105 km/h. In both cases, the suspect is now reported to the Krems district administration.
High fine threatened
Because of the second violation, he has to surrender his driver’s license for a month. In addition, the speeder risks a hefty fine of up to 5000 euros.
