The autonomous community receives the second lowest amount of investment in the Spanish state, although it has grown the most there compared to 2022. “It is public accounts that provide stability and security to families,” says the deputy of the government of Spain Jose Louis Arasti.

More than 62 million euros of the 103.8 real investments receive Navarra in the General budgets of the state (PGE) of 2023 are earmarked for the project of the high speed train. The autonomous community, in the accounts approved by the government of Spain this week, receives the second lowest amount of investment in the Spanish state, although it is the community in which investment has grown the most compared to 2022.” They are public accounts that provide stability and security to families,” the deputy of the Spanish government, José Luis Arasti, confirmed on Friday.
In this context, Navarra will receive 0.8% of the planned investment in the PGE for the Autonomous Communities, surpassing only La Rioja; however, the approved accounts foresee 27 million more investments than the previous one.
The budget project, Arasti has specified, will allocate 103.8 million euros in real investments to Navarra, to which will be added 15 million capital transfers to the provincial government for the works on the 2+1 road of the N-121-A.
The main investment concerns rail transport and in particular the high-speed train, with a budget of EUR 71.03 million, of which 62.89 for the high-speed line Zaragoza-Pamplona-Y Vasca, with more than EUR 8.1 million for the TEN- T-corridors (trans-European corridors).
The PGE, in the words of the deputy of the Spanish government, “continues to strengthen public services as a necessary element to achieve inclusive growth and strengthen the middle and working class, in addition to protecting the most vulnerable groups”.
The second biggest game, with nearly 20 million, goes to water infrastructure. The Canal de Navarra has no budget for 2023.
