One person was killed in an alpine accident on the 2304 meter high Treffauer in the Wilder Kaiser in Scheffau, Tyrol on Sunday afternoon. According to information from “Krone”, a mountaineer fell 200 meters to her death.
The drama happened around 3:40 pm. For unknown reasons, a mountaineer fell just below the summit about 200 meters over rocky terrain. The alarmed emergency doctor from the emergency helicopter Christophorus 4 could only determine the death of the woman. The police helicopter Libelle Tirol recovered the body and flew it to Scheffau.

The victim was not alone on the road. Her shocked, unharmed companion had to be flown into the valley by Christophorus 4.
