White Flag on the Tube – Video: Here’s a Whole Infantry Fighting Vehicle

It is only a single scene, but it shows how dominant the Ukrainian forces are in retaking their homeland: the video of the front in the southern region of Kherson shows a Russian infantry fighting vehicle giving up and Ukrainian troops approaching with a white flag . Shortly afterwards, the crew surrenders and is taken prisoner of war by the Ukrainians.

“Dozens of villages liberated”
Despite the Russian annexation, Ukraine has made significant gains in the territory claimed by Russia. “The Ukrainian army is advancing quite quickly in the south of the country. This is part of our current defense operation. Dozens of villages have already been liberated from this Russian pseudo-referendum in Kherson, Kharkov, Luhansk and Donetsk alone,” President Zelenskyy said in his overnight video address last week.

Annexed but not checked
The regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia are claimed by Moscow, although they are only partially controlled by Russian forces. These recently had to withdraw in many places in the east and south of Ukraine, as even the Ministry of Defense in Moscow has to admit by publishing maps. According to British intelligence, Russia is having problems with the supply of its troops.

Crimean bridge heavily damaged
This supply situation worsened over the weekend: just one day after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s birthday, his main bridge on the Black Sea peninsula in Crimea was heavily damaged (see image below).

There were several explosions, according to the Russian authorities a large fire broke out on the railway bridge. The roadway on the side of the road partially collapsed – at least three people are reported to have died.
