“Everything Was Gone”
Everything was there: music, dance and also the custom of stealing the bride. “Then, around 9:30 PM, the newlyweds took the gifts to the bus parked right in front of the hall,” says Ripper. All gifts were stored in the car, the car was then locked. When the newlyweds woke up in the morning and went to the car after breakfast, they were shocked: “Everything was gone.” The brother-in-law suspects that the thieves reconnoitered the situation and struck at night.

We’re all disappointed.” Karoline Egger-Gassner, the owner of Gasthof Flatscher, is also “shocked”: Her house is a popular wedding location, but: “Nothing like this has ever happened before.” Mayor Sonja Ottenbacher: “It’s crazy. That’s just sad. One can only rely on the thieves to return these personal gifts.” The police are investigating. The amount of damage is unknown.
