Spring is back – Holy Week: Over 20 degrees, pollen and Sahara dust

Date:

After a further rise in winter with occasional snowfall into the valleys, the coming days will finally offer spring-like conditions again. The new week in particular starts in the west with temperatures around 20 degrees. Even a summer day could be possible with a bit of luck in the middle of the week. However, allergy sufferers are having a hard time again.

While spring is already making itself comfortable in the west of the country from Monday, the east will have to wait a little longer for the time being. But from Tuesday the temperature will start to rise here too, approaching 20 degrees. However, the sky is cloudy that day, because the Sahara dust has reached Austria again.

Wednesday brings us a spring-like day across the country. With a bit of luck, a summer day could even beckon in the west and 25 degrees could be reached.

Heavy pollen count
However, there is bad news for all pollen sufferers. Because with the heat, the pollen count increases again. According to the storm center, one should therefore expect an increasing load, for example from ash and birch pollen.

According to the current forecast, Maundy Thursday will also be warm again with up to 20 degrees – just like Good Friday, but showers and local thunderstorms are already starting to play a role.

Oster forecast
And what will the Easter weekend bring? The rabbit should not have too nice weather in the basket. A jacket is needed for the Easter egg hunt: according to the current state of affairs, it should not be more than 14 degrees on the weekend.
