27 sheep missing – Big bear groped in Tyrolean photo trap

Date:

In the Tyrolean Brandenberg on Tuesday evening, a huge bear fell into a photo trap set up by local hunters. Sheep farmers are missing 27 of their animals.

This huge bear was photographed on Tuesday evening between the Pinegg district and the Kaiserklamm gorge by a game camera from the local hunting association. Particularly dramatic: 27 sheep are missing in the vicinity of Schafalm Brandenberg, although a shepherd was always present.

“We search and search, but find no carcasses,” sheep farmer Christoph Mühlegger told “Krone”: “The bear leaves nothing behind.” It could even be two, as wildlife camera photos suggest.

Now the farmers are also concerned about a nearby herd of cattle. “The predators are getting closer and closer to the settlement area,” says Mühlegger.
