A 45-year-old sex offender from the Vorarlberger Oberland has been sentenced to an additional two-year sentence, which is not legally binding.
The man is the uncle of the 12-year-old victim. He had sexually abused the boy for four years. The child was only eight years old when he was first attacked. The offenses took place at the suspect’s home, where the child was often allowed to spend the night. The Oberlander slept with the sleeping boy and sexually assaulted him. Not only that, he filmed and photographed his sexual abuse to get aroused.
Previously charged with child abuse
It was the second trial of serious sexual abuse against the man. He was already on trial for child abuse last November. It was then about two boys from broken family relationships, whom he had “adopted”. One was eight and the other nine. While the youngest remained at the attempt.
The Oberlander was found guilty and sentenced to six and a half years in prison. In addition, after a psychiatric report revealed a post-traumatic disorder in one of the children, he was ordered to pay a total of 8,000 euros in damages for pain and suffering.
The fact that the current case was not dealt with in one sitting in November was due to “procedural economic reasons”. The court had also requested a psychiatric report from the third victim, his cousin. As a result, the now 12-year-old boy also suffers from post-traumatic disorder.
Hoarded child porn since 1995
