Dangerous scenes played out in Vienna-Donaustadt on Sunday morning. A bus driver was trapped in the vehicle after an accident. Heavy snowfall and icy roads made it difficult to drive safely on the roads in the morning hours.
According to the professional fire service, the driver had lost control of the wheel. After driving over a demarcation post and then over some demarcation stones, the bus crashed into a tree in Siebeckstrasse. The driver was trapped in his cab. With an enlarged hydraulic rescue device, the fire brigade was able to free the driver from the completely destroyed driver’s compartment. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
