First, a man in Linz stole a mobile phone, then he became a victim himself. Three teenagers beat him until he was hospitalized and took the loot from him.
A 27-year-old Chechen from Linz stole a forgotten mobile phone from a table in a restaurant in Linz on Sunday evening. When he came to the corner of Hofgasse, he met three male teenagers. They allegedly snatched the stolen goods from his hands, knocked him to the ground and brutally kicked him. The robber trio then fled.
Witnesses alerted the police. The man has been admitted to hospital. Shortly afterward, the owner of the restaurant reported that her cell phone had been stolen. A location led police to two of the suspects. They made a partial confession, were arrested and taken to the police detention center.

During the interrogations, they also revealed the name of their accomplice, who had not yet been identified. The mobile phone was seized in his apartment. Drugs and weapons (stabbing, striking and alarm weapons) were also seized in the apartments of the other two suspects.
