Wild scenes unfolded in Innsbruck on Saturday evening. First there was a fight between three drunken men. The police separated the fighters and arrested them. However, one of the men (23) fought back and injured several officers.
The starting point was an argument between three heavily drunk men in front of a bar on Amraser Strasse in Innsbruck. The argument probably escalated around 11:30 p.m., and moments later fists were flying. This involved three local residents aged 23, 27 and 46 and a woman aged 25.
According to police, at least three of them were injured, including the woman. However, the injured refused treatment by the rescue team.
Four officers injured
Because opponents could not be calmed, several police patrols were called in. The three men were released on extortion charges. One of them also defended himself en masse when the police intervened and injured four police officers in a scuffle. He is also accused of attempting to resist state authority.
