Two injured police officers and an injured perpetrator – that is the result after an evening operation in the capital. A guest initially refused to pay his bill at a restaurant in Styria – then pulled out a knife.
A 30-year-old from Graz had apparently consumed at a bar in central Graz, but when it came to paying the bill, he became aggressive. The waitress alerted the police as he refused and ended up throwing another glass at her!
Threatened Agents
When the officers arrived at the Schmiedgasse bar around 7:50 PM, the man was just paying his bill – but outside, when the officers tried to establish his identity, the aggression continued. The man suddenly pulled out a knife and threatened the police officers!
The officers disarmed the man and pushed him to the ground. The patrol that was called in from the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) then assisted in the arrest. The man was taken to the Graz Police Detention Center.
Slightly injured in official action
Both the two police officers and the 30-year-old suffered minor injuries during the official act. An official had to resign, the local guest was treated.
