Serious traffic accident Monday morning on the Inntalautobahn near Innsbruck-West. A truck buckled into the crash barrier, a car was on its roof and another truck broke through two crash barriers and came to a stop on the bike path. There were two injured. The highway had to be partially closed. Kilometers of traffic jam was the result.
Traffic chaos around Innsbruck! Ironically, in the early morning hours, there was no progress in many places. Due to an accident on the A12, a lock has been created. The main roads in the capital were soon congested by alternative traffic.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. According to the first reports, a truck had collided with a central guardrail. Another articulated truck is said to have broken through the central guardrail and then also destroyed the guardrail separating the highway from the bike path. A car overturned. Two people were injured.
Highway was closed
The westbound highway was closed. The police have put in place a diversion. The blockade was not lifted until around 7:30 a.m., but the nuisance continued as the lane was only one lane. There were several kilometers of traffic jams in both directions early in the morning.
