“It sucks. Sneak, don’t worry the transporter needs space”, these words of Alex R. (20) set off a wild chase from Unterweitersdorf to Mauthausen in Upper Austria on Saturday evening. Three teenagers were arrested and reported to the police.
Alex R. was traveling with his girlfriend – she was driving the car – his half brother was driving the van. “My half-brother refueled at the petrol station in Unterweitersdorf. We immediately noticed several young people standing around their cars, blocking the exit,” says the 20-year-old. As he drove past, he expressed his displeasure through the open passenger window.
“Were extremely violent”
The youngsters did not take it and went after the young couple. “We were followed by at least three vehicles. Apparently they wanted us to stop. We had a very bad feeling,” the young couple told police. They were followed by the youths for about half an hour, repeatedly overtaken and forced to stop. “They got out and hit our car. They were extremely violent, we were terrified for our lives,” says Trauner.
Police confirm the incident
When they were surrounded by two vehicles, they rammed into one and escaped down the sidewalk. Two cars were stopped by alarmed officers. Police confirmed the incident on a “Krone” request. Three boys (17 and 18 years old) were reported for dangerous threats and coercion, further investigations are underway.
