Dangerous situation in Nenzing (Vorarlberg): Tuesday morning, a motorist crashed with her car off an embankment and ended up near the track. A driver noticed the car and immediately alerted the emergency services.
The 49-year-old woman was at her car at 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning Coming from Bludenz on the L190 towards Frastanz on the way. In the municipal area of Nenzing, the car left the carriageway for reasons not yet elucidated and fell about 20 meters off a slope. The car ended up in the area of the ÖBB track.
Numbers are blocked
A driver noticed the crashed car and notified rescue services. The train driver and a conductor provided first aid until emergency services arrived. The runway was immediately closed. After first aid from the emergency doctor, the woman was taken to Feldkirch State Hospital with unknown injuries. Due to the injuries, an alcohol test was not possible. The car was a total loss.
Train traffic was blocked on one side for the entire duration of the accident investigation. Emergency services on site: Rescue with two vehicles and six people, Nenzing fire brigade with four vehicles and 31 people, federal police patrol with two people and two first responders.
