Prosecutors charge a 19-year-old with attempted murder. An expert establishes that the suspect has a high potential for aggression.
Who can play with the Playstation? Notoriously a heated topic among siblings. The quarrel between two brothers from Salzburg about the use of the game console, however, degenerated into a bloody crime, according to the indictment of the public prosecutor: according to this, a Salzburger (19) will soon have to submit the charge of attempted murder. Because according to the indictment, on May 11 he rammed a ten-centimeter knife into his half-brother’s stomach during the fight. The 19-year-old then fled, but turned himself in to the police that evening.
If convicted, there is a risk of jail time and referral
According to the indictment, the stabbing was likely the culmination of a protracted conflict between the two. Both lived in a locked room in their parents’ house for an extended period of time until the crime. “I doubt it was an attempted murder. The whole argument escalated,” explains lawyer Kurt Jelinek.
If convicted, the suspect could face both jail time and institutionalization. A neuropsychiatrist declared him a personality disorder – caused by substance abuse. The previous convict also has a high potential for aggression, it is said.
