If a full carton of milk falls to the floor and bursts, it creates a “mess”. Calculated 25,000 all the time – a “murder rubble”. And that happened in an accident with an Upper Austrian truck just over the border in Bavaria.
The truck driver (58) of the freight forwarding company from Linz-Land was on his way to Munich when he overlooked a safety vehicle from the highway maintenance department on Autobahn 94 near Mühldorf am Inn.
Minor injuries
There was a collision, which the driver luckily survived with minor injuries, although the cabin was badly damaged. In the back of the cargo hold 25,000 tetrapaks with long-life milk were pushed and compressed by the abrupt stop. Many of them burst, others were thrown onto the road.
Operation took several hours
A pool of milk spread around the truck, which had to be removed by emergency services before the road could be reopened. The milk cartons were scooped into containers by hand. It took several hours for the “assassination attempt” to be eliminated.
