The 64-year-old man went hiking on the eighth Kreuzberg on Thursday, accompanied by two other people in Sax, Switzerland. Shortly before the gap between 7th and 8th Kreuzberg, the group had to overcome a small boulder in the descent. The 64-year-old man climbed back down.

The Vorarlberger slipped and fell about ten meters to the south. He was mortally wounded. The requested REGA crew, with a specialized helicopter from the Alpine Rescue Eastern Switzerland, could only determine the death of the mountaineer. The accompanying persons had to be psychologically cared for. The exact course of the accident is still under investigation.
