The pensioner from the Unterland has disappeared without a trace. Close police investigations, searches and all the family’s efforts have all come to naught. Now the executive has launched a new call for witnesses.
The case is a mystery, for the Tyrolean’s life was completely unremarkable until the very end. On October 23 last year, the 79-year-old suddenly disappeared. On this day, he left an event at Gasthof Grattenbrücke in Kirchbichl around 5 pm. Since then, there has been no trace of the 79-year-old and his striking light blue Audi TT.

Even a film team from Servus TV filmed on the spot and the extraordinary case was broadcast on “Fahlung Austria”. But Sigi was gone. “All investigative measures taken so far, including the publications made to date and three calls for witnesses, have had no result,” the Tyrolean State Investigation Service reported Monday.
It cannot be ruled out that the man “is staying or being detained in neighboring countries”, according to the detectives, who did not file the case but have again called witnesses.
