A worker has died in Errenteria (Gipuzkoa), as confirmed by the security department.
The worker died after falling from scaffolding in an industrial accident in the Altzate district of Gipuzkoa city. The Ertzaintza received the message around 11:15 am.
The mayor of Errenteria, Aizpea Otaegi, has expressed “our sincere condolences and all our solidarity” to the worker’s family, colleagues and environment. “We must eliminate workplace accidents once and for all,” he added.
That same week, two other people died in an industrial accident in Euskal Herria, both in Navarre. A truck driver died in a road accident in Cadreita, and another man died after falling from a height of 8 meters in Arribe.
