Due to noise pollution, officials were called to an apartment in Vienna-Penzing on Monday. A 27-year-old Polish citizen, who is also wanted in Poland under a European arrest warrant, opened the door for them.
Shortly afterwards, the officers took the young man to a nearby police station to compare all the other records. When the police wanted to arrest the 27-year-old, he suddenly jumped up and tried to escape through a window.

While trying to stop the suspect, the man kicked an officer’s upper body with his knee, injuring him. He also had damaged windows and a privacy screen. However, the escape failed.
Reported and arrested
The 27-year-old was arrested, charged with opposing state authority and property damage, and taken to prison. He was wanted from Poland on the basis of a European Arrest Warrant with a prison sentence of two years and six months.
