So, and after verifying the responsibility he assumes as a director in the face of a decision of this magnitude, he pointed to the need to have “technical assurances” for this, and questioned whether Geroa Bai, despite the fact that he held the presidency of the government in the last legislature, this decision has not been made.
For this reason he indicated waiting for three studiesone on the common part to Alsasua, another hydrological for the Ezkio part and another on the functionality of the connection to the Basque Y that will be prepared by Adif on operations and saturation.
The questioner, Pablo Azcona (Geroa Bai) had raised the issue before the “change of position” of the PSN, which defended Ezkio’s connection in its election manifesto and now asks to bet on Vitoria-Gasteiz, according to what they understand from various expressions of its leaders “because it is the most profitable option”, but “for Geroa Bai what is cheap in the long run will be expensive for Navarra”, he concluded.
Last week, Ciriza warned that the alternative of connecting the HST via Ezkio presented a “high degree of uncertainty” requiring the completion of additional geotechnical and hydrological studies so that the project is carried out “with all guarantees”.
