There was a chlorine gas alarm in the Erlebnistherme Fügen in the Tyrolean Zillertal on Friday afternoon. At that time, 254 people had to be removed from the building. For some visitors, the day ended in the hospital.

At the time of the gas leak, 254 people were in the recreation facility and were released. The fire brigade of Fügen and Jenbach with 46 emergency services, the Red Cross and the police intervened.
The paramedics had to receive ten guests with mild symptoms of poisoning at the scene, seven of whom were taken to Schwaz hospital for further clarification.
Cause under investigation
It was not yet known why the chlorine gas leaked. Spa management said the incident is under investigation. In order to be able to let go of the operation, they work together with the authority.
