In the center of Vienna, brutal scenes took place on Sunday morning: two young men, aged 24 and 25, were attacked, beaten, kicked and beaten with wooden sticks by a group of about 20 people.
The situation initially harmless: the issue of cigarettes. But a little later, around 10 a.m. on Sunday, there was an attack on the Freda-Meissner-Blau-Promenade. The group of about 20 attacked their two victims and the two were robbed with a knife. Punches and kicks also followed, beating the 24-year-old and 25-year-old with wooden sticks.
The perpetrators stole wallets and mobile phones before fleeing on the stairs towards Urania, according to police. The professional rescue took care of the two victims while a search for the group was launched – but initially unsuccessfully. The 25-year-old was admitted to hospital after initial treatment with several cuts and suspected broken nose.
The investigation is underway.
