Wild scenes took place on Monday afternoon in an apartment in the Tyrolean Telfs (Innsbruck-Land district): A drunk Pole (32) is said to have panicked during an argument with his girlfriend. After letting his vandalism run wild, he wanted to run off with the woman’s company car. The alerted police were able to arrest the suspect.
At about 2.30 pm, the 31-year-old Pole made a report to the police. She described that her partner was very drunk, damaged several items during an argument, such as a laptop, and then used her company car without permission. He also allegedly stole her debit card.
A police patrol eventually found the rowdy suspect in the parking lot in front of the house and confronted him. But that didn’t suit him at all.
Officials fended off attacks
“The man tried to flee and fell repeatedly, sustaining multiple abrasions. He then attacked the officers with clenched fists,” the investigators said.
Alcohol test refused
The officers managed to fend off the attacks and detain the suspect for the time being. The man refused an alcohol test and an examination by the district doctor. After the interrogation, the 32-year-old was released by order of the public prosecutor.
