That sounded too good! A 57-year-old Pinzgauer from Salzburg is said to have doubled his net worth within two months. Now he stands there with a loss of 315,000 euros.

The man fell victim to a cryptocurrency scam online and lost €315,000 as a result. In August, after a tip from an internet acquaintance, he bought cryptocurrencies, and his fortune is said to have doubled within two months.

Account frozen for manipulation
Then he got the message that his account had been frozen for tampering and that he had to pay a double digit percentage of his assets to unlock it.

Then the Pinzgauer became suspicious and realized that he had probably been ripped off of his money. He then filed a fraud report on Saturday, police said.
