700,000 euros in damage! The Tier-Gdadenhof Bowel Aiderbichl in Henndorf in Salzberg remains closed longer after the fire on Mother’s Day than initially planned. The clean -up work is more intensive than accepted.
“Unfortunately it doesn’t work.” Boss Dieter Ehrengruber had great hope that the Aiderbichl -Valae could open its doors again for visitors this Saturday. But the clean -up work after the fire of Mother’s Day – the “krone” reported – are more complex than expected. “The biggest problem is the extinguishing powder – that’s just everywhere,” Ehrengruber Scheht.
As a reminder: on Mother’s Day a deep fryer started to burn in the kitchen of the visitor house around noon. The warm fat heated to almost 300 degrees Celsius due to a technical defect.
“According to the first estimates, the damage is slightly less than 700,000 euros,” says the Aiderbichl boss. You had to throw away a large amount of food, throw away furniture and many items from the sales shop. “All soft toys ended up in the garbage bin. They are also full of powder.”
180 animals and visitors will return soon
Nobody was injured. The nurses were also able to bring all residents of animals to Aiderbichls to safety on time. Now there are intensive conversations, so that the insurance company occurs for the damage. Ehrengruber: “The first conversations were positive.”
On 24 May, visitors must go to the Gnadenhof area for the first time. The strict provisions with regard to mouth and mouth disease should have expired. At the beginning of April, 180 animals were brought from the visitors to farms that are not open to the public. Lama’s, dromedars, pigs, cattle, sheep and goats were hit. “The reopening will be a big festival for everyone,” Honor Gruber can hardly expect it.
