On Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. a fire broke out at the postal distribution center in Koblach in Vorarlberg. The flames spread to the entire building within minutes.
Initially nothing was known about injuries, the material damage is probably very large. Because the distribution center is located in the immediate vicinity of the railway, train traffic had to be shut down. Several local fire brigades were deployed.

The cause of the fire was initially completely unknown. The relevant investigations will be started after the extinguishing activities have been completed. The extinguishing activities continued late Sunday afternoon, but there was no longer any danger.
According to ÖBB, the railway line between Rankweil and Götzis stations is expected to be closed until 6 p.m. Long-distance trains waited at the lock. A rail replacement service has been set up for regional transport.
