The government of Navarra has formally submitted its candidacy to house the Spanish space agency’s headquarters in Estella. The Navarrese Executive believes that the Agency’s presence in the fora area will allow: promoting innovation and entrepreneurship by associating it with the innovation and knowledge capacities of nearby universities and technology centers and incorporating it into the Navarre innovation system.
With the city’s candidacy as its location, as explained by the Foral Government in a statement, “it not only seeks to stimulate the region’s economy, but also tries to generate value for the Agency itself, by offering to integrate into a competitive business environment.”
“Estella is surrounded by the natural concentration of the space sector, in Navarre and the neighboring provinces, as well as in the Toulouse-Basque Country axis; There is concentration, diversification and thematic specialization within the space sector,” they assured.
