Iberdrola to invest €47 billion over the next three years

The energy company will spend 47% of its investments in the United States. Per business area, it plans to invest €27 billion in networks (57%) and €17 billion in renewable energy.

Iberdrola plans to invest €47 billion in the period 2023-2025 to achieve a net profit of between EUR 5.2 and 5.4 billion at the end of the period, according to figures presented today on the occasion of the Capital Markets Day in London.

47% of its investments go to: United States, which will be positioned as the main expansion market for the next three years. The United Kingdom is in second place with 16%. 13% of the total investment goes to Germany, France and Australia. In Spain, the investments will amount to 6,000 million euros in three years, 13% of the total. With this investment approach, the company will contribute to the employment of 85,000 people in Spain by 2025.

For each business area, the group will allocate 27,000 million euros to: networking (57%) and €17,000 million in renewableup to 52,000 MW in 2025.

On the other hand, Iberdrola provides the hiring of about 12,000 people in the next three years.

Iberdrola has also reaffirmed that the outlook for 2030with investments of €65 billion to €75 billion in 2026-30 to more than 100 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity.

For 2022, the group estimates a net profit of between 4,000 and 4,200 million for 2022, which would increase its profit by almost 29% compared to this year.
