Navarra approves fiscal measures to alleviate economic impact of war in Ukraine

The Foral government will defer the payment of certain taxes, speed up renewable energy installation procedures and limit the rent for protected housing.

The Government of Navarre has approved her plan of measures to alleviate the effects of the war in Ukraine They mainly consist of tax aid businesses and families, especially the most vulnerable.

The plan, elaborated by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Elma Saizoaims at a press conference to promote lower energy prices for citizens and businesses, support the hardest hit sectors and the most vulnerable groups and strengthen price stability.

For example, the payment of certain taxes, such as personal income tax, corporate income tax or VAT, is deferred and aid already granted under the state plan is exempted.

The province has also approved measures to streamline the licensing procedures for renewable energy installations and the limitation of rent for social housing.

On the other hand, the Treasury of Navarra has already prepaid more than 9 million euros to 112 gas station owners for the discount on fuel.
