A wine bar was set on fire in Langenlois in the Krems district (Lower Austria) on Thursday evening. According to the local volunteer fire department, the roof of the building caught fire. A woman was rescued from the neighboring object. Just after 3 a.m. the call was “fire out”.
Sirens could be heard around Langenlois at 1.57am. The fire brigades of Langenlois, Gobelsburg-Zeiselberg and Zöbing were alerted for a roof truss fire in the Kellergasse Am Sauberg in Langenlois. Tank Langenlois and Tank Gobelsburg immediately started to put out the fire. The adjacent building also had to be protected as soon as possible because the roof construction was already on fire.
Neighbor was evacuated
A woman from the house next door had to be taken to safety from her home for the time being. Because the fire extinguishing water ran out, the fire brigades in Schiltern and Mittelberg were alerted to transport the water.
The fire could be extinguished at 3.15 am – the after-extinguishing work started. The operation ended at 5.15 am.
