Company vaccinations against Covid-19 were made possible in the spring of 2021, which are currently still well accepted, according to the GGD. To date, nearly 500,000 doses have been administered in 40 companies. For the autumn campaign, which started in mid-September, there was almost only demand for variant vaccines to refresh or to complete the basic vaccination. Health Minister Johannes Rauch (Greens) got an idea of the offer from the post office in Vienna-Inzersdorf.
A vaccination campaign, supported by the Ministry of Health, can still be organized for companies operating throughout Austria with branches in at least five federal states and with at least 2000 employees. It provides easy access to the corona vaccination directly in the workplace. Participating companies are, for example, ORF, Erste Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Bosch, Hofer KG, Spar, Metro, Porr, Porsche, Siemens, Voest, Verbund, Pensionsversicherungsanstalt and MedUni Vienna.
Rauch promotes vaccination again
“Vaccination is still the most important measure against serious illness after Covid 19 infection. Vaccination saves lives,” Rauch said on Thursday during a visit to the company vaccination in the Vienna-Inzersdorf logistics center of the Österreichische Post AG. It is still too little known that in many cases it also protects against Lang Covid. The population rightly expects “Swiss Post to always be there for them, even in times of crisis,” emphasized Post Director-General Georg Pölzl. “Thousands of vaccinations and health checks in the past two years” show how much the postmen value health care.
Participating companies report that the Corona vaccination offer has “created a sense of community”, according to the Ministry of Health. In this way, “people who are more skeptical about vaccinations can often be approached and convinced”.
