In the small town of Weilheim in Upper Bavaria, the police made a terrible discovery on Friday: four people between the ages of 47 and 60 were found dead. It is said to be a brutal violent crime – the four dead were relatives or friends. One of the dead is said to be the suspected perpetrator. Two of the victims were found with “massive injuries,” investigators said
Based on the initial investigation, it can be assumed that a 59-year-old man fatally injured two 57-year-old women and a 60-year-old man and then fatally injured himself, police said. The Weilheim Criminal Investigation Department and the Munich II Public Prosecutor’s Office are conducting the investigation.
First, officials found the 60-year-old lifeless in the garden of an apartment building in the city center. A witness discovered the man and called the police and emergency services – the emergency call came in at 4:50pm. The immediate resuscitation measures were therefore of no avail, the man died on the spot from his serious injuries, according to the statement.
The alleged killer was sitting on a park bench
An immediate large-scale search by the Weilheim police with the support of numerous emergency services from surrounding departments was initially unsuccessful, it was said. At around 7.15pm, a passerby found a lifeless person on a park bench – the 59-year-old was reportedly dead when emergency services arrived.
At his property, also in Weilheim, the police finally found the two lifeless women, with “massive injuries” according to the statement. An emergency doctor was only able to determine the death of the two 57-year-olds.
