Got stupid. After a tire blowout, a driver in Steyr crashed into a bus stop. But the police soon noticed a completely different detail.
The 52-year-old from Steyr drove his car in Steyr on Haratzmüllerstraße towards the city at around 1:35 p.m. on Saturday. Suddenly, according to the driver and his passengers, a tire on the rear axle burst, causing the driver to lose control of his vehicle and crash into the bus stop next to a fast food restaurant.

The 52-year-old and a passerby suffered minor injuries. A cause of the accident was also quickly found. An alcohol test revealed an alcohol level (0.9 per thousand); an alcohol test at the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen Klinikum Steyr confirmed alcoholism and the driver’s license was taken from the 52-year-old.
