The strikes will take place between November 28 and December 2. If no new agreement is reached, ELA does not rule out a strike for an indefinite period.
Euskaraz irakurri: Bizkaiko metalgintzako gehiengo sindikalak deitutako grebara batu da ELA sindikatua
DE A announced this Monday that it would call a strike in the metal industry of Bizkaia del November 28 to December 2on the same dates as planned by the sector’s trade union majority consisting of CCOO, LAB, UGT, ESK, CGT and CNT.
In a statement, ELA informed about this decision, adopted today in the assembly, and emphasized its desire to achieve “unity of action” of the unions “in the content of the negotiations and in the signing of commitments”.
This union has criticized the position of the employer in this conflict, assuring that “it is holding on to the privileges offered by an agreement that has nothing to do with the economic boom of recent years for the sector”.
For this reason, he believes that, if the next five days of the strike end without an agreement, “it would be necessary to declare a strike of indefinite duration which presupposes a definite impetus for the negotiations”.
