A mysterious video from Mongolia poses a mystery: A security camera filmed a herd of sheep running in circles in an enclosure for 12 days (see video above). The owner of the animals cannot explain the strange behavior.
The video was published by China’s state-run newspaperVolksdagblad published on Twitter.
According to the owner, the unusual run started with a few animals before adding more.
There are a total of 34 sheepfolds on the farm, but only the number 13 sheep were walking around.
Bacterial disease?
Internet users are now speculating about the cause of the phenomenon. Some believe the sheep are suffering from the bacterial disease listeriosis, also known as ‘circulatory disease’. This is caused by spoiled silage.
