Two Styrians ended up in hospital on Friday after accidents during forestry work. Around noon, a 34-year-old cut a live tree in Obdach (Murtal district) and then got stuck on the trunk. The man broke his lower leg and was taken by ambulance to the LKH Judenburg.
A few hours later, the following forestry accident occurred in Birkfeld (Weiz district): A 33-year-old operated a cable winch on rough terrain, which trapped several tree trunks. One of them was thrown to the side and hit the East Styrian on the lower leg. After an initial treatment by the emergency doctor, he was taken to the LKH Hartberg.
