Due to the suspicion of National Socialist reactivity under the Prohibition Act, the State Office for State Protection and Combating Extremism (LSE) of the Salzburg State Police Directorate has been investigating a group of people for some time. Weapons were also seized during a search in St. Johann.
In recent months, chats with clearly relevant sentiments have been noticed on social media channels. The Salzburg public prosecutor then ordered searches of two people in the St. Johann district (30 and 42 years old) and another in the Salzburg region (79 years old).
Several data carriers and National Socialist devotional objects were seized from the three suspects on Thursday. In addition, fifteen long guns and ten pistols with a total of 2,000 rounds of ammunition, knives, bayonets and steel bars were found with the two suspects in Pongau. Some of these are legally owned weapons. But there were also those that were banned or not reported.
The suspects are reported to the Public Prosecution Service and district authorities.
