An increase in the number of seniors in the scandal house Senecura in Salzburg-Lehen is not in question.
The Senecura home in Lehen just had to reduce the number of residents from 90 to 50 people in need of care due to a serious lack of care. Temporary workers and agency workers also work in-house. This has stabilized the situation for the moment, but many of the workers are only there until December.
According to the state, the housing supervisor checks the house in Lehen unannounced at least every two weeks. “The checks did not reveal any violations of standards under the Healthcare Act,” says the spokeswoman for the responsible regional councilor Martina Berthold. At the beginning of November, she took over from Heinrich Schellhorn, who resigned after the health care scandal in the Senecura home.
Country: “Increasing occupancy rate is not an issue”
At a service meeting, the management of Senecura is said to have again discussed expanding the number of inhabitants – because otherwise the financial damage would be too great. The country doesn’t want to hear about that. “It has been agreed that more residents can only be admitted in consultation with the state and the municipality. Expansion of the occupancy is not a problem at the moment. The common goal of all involved is a stable personnel and support situation before further steps can be discussed,” says the state spokeswoman.
