The ten-year-old girl who was hit by a car in front of a school building in Oberschützen in Burgenland has died in hospital in Graz.
The student succumbed to her serious injuries on Wednesday night, a police spokesperson confirms in a message from the Burgenland weekly magazine BVZ.
Couldn’t brake in time
The young driver was taken by surprise and was unable to brake in time. The car hit the girl. The little patient was seriously injured at the Oberwart Hospital and then taken to the Graz State Hospital. The student has been in intensive care since the accident on November 15.
The school at the scene of the accident was closed that day and all classes were exempt from teaching. Four experts provided psychological care for the students.
